On Saturday 10th November Eat Culture teamed up with St Marks Church to hold Cafe 1899's first evening event. The event ran from 7pm - 10pm inviting residents of the church and Gedling area to come and enjoy an evening of jazz music.
As Cafe 1899 has an alcohol license we provides the bar, which had a selection of wines, spirits, real ales and also everyone's current favour - Pink Gin. If you was wanting something warmer for the chilly night, we our Autumn offer on Pumpkin and Gingerbread Lattes.
Along with drinks we served our best seller - Vegan Chilli with nachos that went down a treat. The night started with mellow jazz sounds from the speaker and then warmed up with a soulful singer and jazz band. The audience ranged from 18 year old's to 80 year old's which was great to see.
During the interval Jack Bull the reverend from St Marks Church handed out the raffle prizes. The event had a great atmosphere and good feedback from those who attended.
We thoroughly enjoyed the event and will be welcoming Jack back on Sunday 9th December for Carols in the Park.
